What a Shanty!!

So 2017 Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival has come and gone. What a weekend it was!! 
Over 50,000 people visited falmouth for the festival and it was certainly known! The town was buzzing just like Tallships 1998.
It's the one weekend a year we have a rather posh marquee put up and two fully stocked bars making sure everyone is keep watered and looked after with "Skinners Fine Cornish Ale" 
The festival for us has grown year on year and we did not think it could get any bigger than 2016 but boy we wrong. 
We had 18 amazing groups perform for us over the weekend and our amazing sponsor group The Oggymen we're on top form as always. A huge thank to the amazing Betty Stogs she always knows how to be the highlight of my weekend! 
And even bigger thank you to my amazing team, who this year were put through their paces as im still recovering from my surgery so they had to be it all this year. And im so proud!

So its now time to sit down draw up the good points and the bad points of this years festival (can't be perfect :-) ) and then start to plan for next year........
